Why do you keep getting pulled?
Cops pull over 125s/learner legals etc...
When I went from a 125 to a 400....I got pulled about 3 times on that compared to about 20 on the 125.
but anyways....
I too got bored when riding and sold my Fireblade to get a 400 again, best move I ever did.
But when you can afford it and I would honestly save asap and try and do 1 trackday before you sell the 600.
Especially Pembrey, would be a perfect bike and its a good clear easy track to learn the basics on.Cheap too.
I took me 1 trackday to get hooked. Amazing.
I think 1 trackday is worth half the summer of road riding. You learn so much which you cant do on the road due to speed limits/cnuts in cars.

yer, do you think a trackday would still be good on a supermoto?
and i keep getting pulled because im speeding and being a twat but its to easy to speed on it so i figure if i get a super moto ill enjoy just wizing around at slower speeds becus theyre so flicky and have bags of torque

I think you can do supermoto specific trackdays, that should be pretty fun cos you wont be getting buzzed by all the bigger bikes!

I dunno to be honest, i suppose it would be because they're no fun on big wide sweeping ones.
Maybe even go-kart tracks lol

if your bored on a gsxr 600 the brutal truth is its because you cant ride very well.
as for the wheelie thing a gsxr 600 will wheelie off the throttle with no clutch in first ...to the point where it will loop itself if you dont back off.chop the throttle about 2 thirds through the rev range, if you pin it and dont back off from a chopped throttle i would wager money it will come up quick enough to make you s hit your pants and flip it.
if you cant wheelie a gsxr 600 you wont be able to wheelie any bike whether it be a supermoto or a 170bhp thou.
last time I went to pembrey the fastest bike there was a 600...

I may be wrong, but isn't everyone under the age of 21 restricted to 33bhp anyway, irrespective of having had a full licence for two years?
Nope If you take your test on a 125 at 17 the your restricted for two years from the pass date. Which means i can be riding full power when im 19

yep but at least your restricted, im suprised the bike was sold to a 18yr old without the restrictor kitted, easy money maker for the dealership and no comeback on them
also GK if your bike gets nicked or crashed and you aint got the fitting certificate then they wont pay out so its £6500 down the drain

ive seen supermotos at cadwell and oulton even donington. ive got a mate who races a 70bhp tdr250 who can lap as fast as the 400s hes up against
it sounds like you need to change the way you ride not your bike, why speed round town when theres loads of open unpoliced roads around here
in 10years of riding like a nob on my bikes ive never once been pulled by the cops as i know where and whens a safe place to do it,and i also keep my eyes open for them

so it seems like its just part of my day riding my bike.
i ride everyday and becuase i have moved so much have tended to ride alone. i will say that riding alone for long periods of time stilts my riding (as anyone can tell you last time I was down) so it needs a shot in the arm occasionally in the form of a group ride.
I have to agree that when you're doing the commute through traffic then riding isn't much fun and what you said about open roads is true, but I have also have to sadly be a little bit critical and say that if you're bored on open roads then you're either not riding the bike right, haven't got the right bike or have become bored with biking or don't know the right roads (talk to simon on that one).
Personally I like nothing better than a good open road and going into and out of a corner knowing that I got it perfect. Luckily this week my commutes have taken me down the B1096 and B1040 and yesterday the amazing B660. So I definitely have not been bored, just a bit saddle sore

what a nobber...
Reminds me when I was 20.
Back to the topic-ish.
You can wheely any bike with the correct technique, harleys, 400s etc....but some are easier than others obviously...
with a thou, you twist the throttle, she comes up and you can sit there all day without changing gear if you're good enough(like me

)
But with 400s, they are heavy, tall first gears and need ALOT of clutch to get her up, wheelying a 400 is about 10 times harder to wheely compared to a gixxer thou.
You gotta rape the clutch, get her high up, and change gear straight away, quite hard if you're a newbie.
I honestly wouldn't wheely a 400, yes its possible but you will have to replace the clutch not long after the abuse starts.
600 sportsbikes are so much easier to learn on.
