I actually believe that people should be free to air their opinions whatever they may be, I take the view that outrageous and unpleasant opinions are self destructive, that is people can see them for what they are therefore the more exposure we give them the better. By this I am not saying your views fit these descriptions, I am merely making a general point of principle.

The issue that you have provoked Stately and the reason you have generated a certain level of animosity against yourself is simply the way you have chosen to state your opions, not the opinions themselves. You cannot convince people to consider your views by abusive denigration of their views. This tactic only serves to alienate not just the debaters but also non participants. Put your views with courtesy and without personal innuendo and you will find that even if people disagree they will listen and respect.
Now thats what i was trying to say but obviously not go the intelligence to word it like that.

Well done Mike

What he just said up there !!!
Don't put yourself below someone just because they can come across as intelligent on a forum.

Reading between the lines, I think he's a fake, and is trying far too hard
If you read between the lines you'll never understand it :D

Cos then they wont be complete sentences!

Have you noticed that old Stanley here, ex instructor, ex long distance haulage expert, ex army and recently exposed himself as a rebuilder and restorer of written off bikes, why has he never posted on the Mechanical section, or any other section of the site for that matter? surely his intellect would benefit those of us who endevour to repair our own bikes and then there is the Track Day area, how can you guys who regularly attend Track Days get by without a personal tutorial from the undisputed Bike Master, who's years of experience at the cutting edge of high performance riding must rate him alongside the greats, Rainey, Shwantz, Sheene, Ago, Vale, Bayliss...Stanley

Sorry he constantly reveals he's a sad old git who pretends to ride and fix bikes YAWN  from now on I think we should just ignore any posts from him and he'll go away and bother some Railway enthusiasts or something

He's probably FAR too busy putting together his week's research on the position of insurance companies 17 years ago in relation to long distance/haulage driving and young drivers.

In the black chair on tonight's episode of Mastermind, and answering questions on his specialist topic of commercial vehicle insurance is Stately.... [cue music...]
