Have day pass. Will come out to play.

After chatting with Simon yesterday I've looked at the route to put in the stop at the Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford:-

Is this the final route now??

Simon's showed that you wouldn't be passing my patch until Crewkerne but yours brings the route closer to Chard (up towards Forton where the B3167 is crossed by the BB3162), in which case I'll wait there to join on. 8)

In particular for a weeks time when you have your charity boxing match.

You guys do know this route takes you through a ford at Sydling St Nicolas? (Between Cerne Abbas and Maiden Newton) It could be a foot deep after the rain we've had and the bottom is green and slimy flagstone. There is a foot bridge but its narrow and a bit dicey on a bike.

To bypass it, when you reach the ford follow the road round to the left into Sydling then turn immediately right, continue down there and rejoin the original road at the junction.

Thanks for the warning, I wasn't aware of the water hazard.

So options are take the road or pin it and pray?

It's a horrible ford. Trust me, unless it's bone dry, it's a Youtube hit waiting to happen. Take the road..
