Is there anywhere you can rent or borrow a bike for just two weeks ?

Ice is not a nice thing to be riding on my daughter got her first test cancelled because of wind and rain she had ridden a GN125 from 12 miles north of bude to bodmin to take the test to be told the weather was too bad an hour before the test, and by the test time the wind had dropped the sun had come out and the examiner had pissed off home, but she passed the second go when she actually got to do the test and she was a bag on nerves,

go the way of the 125 my young padawan...there is no substitute for experience..

I'd be tempted to say book it asap, You dont want all that training to go out of the window while you ride around on a 125 picking up bad habbits.

As for U-Turns, they are easy on 500/125's but try doing them on a RS125, Full lock gets you around with a foot to spare, thats what I passed my test on.

Thats the way to do it, plennty of practice, and book it in again ASAP.

well i have it booked in for two weeks time, and just to finish me off my ninja turned up today and is looking sweet in my back garden. Someone has spent a lot of money on her too, loads of uprated goodies....wasted on me though lol, cheers for the advice people but hey, at least i still have two arms.

I have to say mate, I think a ZX6 is toooooo much for a first bike.
Go for the 125, they are more of a laugh than you think ;)

Know how it feels...failed mine first time too! Have to say having time on the 125 did me the world of good.

Got a GN125 in the garage if you're interested!

take it again mate, u turns are easy just keep your haed up, remember to look where you want to go and not where your going !! ie turn yuor head to look up the road and you'll automatically turn your shoulders which then turns the handlebars and obviously then the bike starts to turn the way your looking.
its the same principle for turning rightr, head up and keep looking up and where you want to go. try riding with your head up higher and looking furher into the disatnce and you'll be fine.remember that you should be planning about 2 seconds in advance.

alright ginge. i am gutted fot you mate. i know the feeling. i failed the first time i took my test with 3 minors and a major. second time i blitzed it with no minors. it is a good idea to get the experiance first. i took it slowly and progressed up threw the power of bikes that i had. the ninja aint a bad first bike. pretty predictable power delivery. good luck for 2 weeks mate

well i just bought becs 125 and made my way home.....bit scetchy, new bike and first time riding at night. Oh and bec i forgot to tell you earlier, on the way home i filled up the tank but the card machine in the garage wasn't working so i had to fill out loads of paperwork and leave my watch behind as a guarantee while i went home to get cash lol.

You'd think they'd put a notice up so people could see if they had cash before filling up

Have fun with the 125...get as much practice in as you can and enjoy it!

If their machine isn't working they shouldn't authorise the pump before telling you. Know way would I leave my watch with some spotty teenager behind the counter
