As some of you may know, our very own Tractorwackyracer and myself took a trip recently with our long suffering partners to Texas to play on some dirt bikes for a few days.
Details to follow.....

Pretty much, our trip had a lot more falling off in it though.
Lots of riding, lots of drills, lots of sliding, 4x superpole.
A little bit of Colin(he didn't seem to want to be there), a couple of chats with John Hopkins about cadwell park(plus a bit of trading paint with him on the indoor track). Some nice food, comfy bed and great instructors.
On the downside, NOTHING to do there if you're there to watch. Kim and Sarah came along with us and unfortunat had 4 VERY boring days. A lot of what the impression of the camp, is that, an impression. Unless you're there to ride, don't go there. The VIP or bunk houses, avoid, Stay at the Best Western down the road - you'll sleep better and save a ton of money.
I did learn some very useful riding tools and had 4 great days playing on underpowered bikes learning how to get them sideways (intentionally), shooting guns and racing around on clay with Mr Gratton.
Even having only this short amount of time playing on the loose stuff i've found it to be a lot of fun and am looking forward to doing more of it.

It is addictive. I found myself doing MX practise tracks more and more before moving to the southwest. The trails here as so much better than where I was in Hampshire so I was able to get my fix of sideways action without finding MX tracks to play on. Jumps are nice too.
I would really like to find some flat scrub land so I can make up a small flat track and then bring on the drift!
How are you getting on with the WR then, been out much?

Not had time to get out on it yet. Work and weekend duties keep getting the way.
Once i've got a van again I'm making a point of getting out.
Forgot to mention that at the ranch we had an enduro race. Took place over an hour, 10 teams, varying amounts of riders per team, 10 minutes on per rider.
Mark and i entered as a two man team and came 3rd overall.
