Padded hoodie yay or nay

Thinking of getting one of those padded hoodies for the casual around the block type rides .any one had one if so any good or should I avoid and stick to the good old tried and tested gear opinions please..

Personally it's not for me. They'll still ride up your body as you slide. Might Save you a bump at low speeds but I don't think I'd trust one.

I wrote my R1 off at a junction, got fired down the road, still bloody hurt. Ambo crew said it was nice to turn up to an RTC involving a Bike to find rider in one piece with the right kit on.

I tried draggin jeans but didn't feel protected. Like I said, not for me.

Never seen a hoody but I have gone for some very armoured jeans that as so well lined they are supposed to offer more protection then leathers.
Only issue I have found is so that you get the protection the jeans make you feel like the Michelin man and you struggle being able to move on the bike.
