Clip ons

I dropped my zx14 yesterday on my drive ,loads of dented pride but only the clutch lever snapped .another one on the way so I think I got away with it thank the lord .I did notice the whole clutch lever and grip etc is moving on the clip on ,not in and out but in a circular motion .can anybody throw any light on it everything is tight

Might have picked up a tiny bit of ****.
Loosen it off shove it up and down and round etc. Do it up again. Can't be tight and move

inside the switch gear there is usually a small lug that fits into a hole on the clipon for the factory placement. If the bike is dropped this can snap and allow the whole unit to slip aroud the clipon.
undo the switch kit and have a look inside.
