Morning Ride Out Saturday 15th August

Post by menzies3032 »

Hi All

Having been locked up in quarantine for the last 2 weeks due to spending all of July in Spain (family situation) it with great joy that I am organising a ride for this Saturday. From what I can see the weather still looks favorable (Unlike Friday and Sunday  )

A special thank you to Bunny67 for the loan of the SuperDuke 990

Will be setting off from Bridge Motorbikes and will be doing one of my usual routes winding up through the middle of Devon (so sorry nothing flash just some great roads).

This is a mid pace ride, going to be quicker then a friendly ride but not trying to hit warp speed either.
I like to run the ride using a drop off system with a TEC so if anybody would like to nominate themselves then would be appreciated :ymhug:

I have to be back home in Teignmouth for 12:00 so depending on timings depends how far we get but will either be:-
1) Exeter to Hatherleigh and back
2) Exeter to Torrington and back
or
3) Exeter to Boscastle and back.

People who are attending please answer the pole above and I will go with the consensus on the start time.

Hi Guys,
FYI... Have been chatting to Menzies and if we go for the early option, we'll be looking at heading to The West Country Inn between Hartland and Bude. A great place, we've ridden past it loads over the years but never stopped in.

Have been to their bike nights the last couple of weeks and think it's a little gem worth supporting.

They're biker friendly, The Land lady, Laura rides, and she does a scrummy bikers breakfast.

Some epic routes and roads to and from and definitely worth getting up for...

So if I am reading this correctly then attendees include:-
Myself
Red5
Ptolemyx
Royb

An based on the poll it would seem people want to be up and gone early so its be at Bridge and ready to ride for 6am.
Looking at the weather its not looking fantastic so expecting we are going to have a wet or semi wet ride. but at this stage based on the weather report I am not looking to cancel the ride we will just have to be a bit more cautious.

It'll be fine mate, you're on someone elses bike so it's not so critical if it gets a bit wet and dirty :D :))
