I notice that this time they are just half day sessions with e-learning as well. I'd be interested in your verdict if you go.

I've done it a few times over the years but it has always been a full day session with 1/2 day face to face learning and discussion and 1/2 day ride-out. eLearning is obvs cheaper to deliver, and could save us punters time I guess. Let us know what you think

I did it Last year and have to say the e learning past was painful. It's so monotone that you just want to sleep.
The ride was ok although the other guy I was paired up with flat out refused to go over 50 mph. Told the copper that he couldn't make him either, kind of spoilt it really.

Do you do the e-learning bit at home before/after the ride? How long did it take?

They brought in the e-learning to avoid groups in classrooms because of Covid.
I preferred the old classroom discussion, where I could wind up the "experts"

I did it last year, had an excellent time. The e-learning thing wasn't particularly awful but a 'classroom' session would have been better, that's Covid for you. Have done it a couple of times previously, and on all occasions the ride was a good one, the police riders were not aresholey about anything, good quick rides with useful tips and being made aware of bad habits creeping in. I'd recommend it to anyone whether a beginner or experienced.
