Well after a very successful 1st round of Simon coming to Cornwall to set up 9 bikes with 9 VERY HAPPY customers...... I booked him again for another visit to the Dutchy.
So last Saturday Simon had 11 bikes booked in for Suspension set-ups with only 9 turning up due to the changeable weather conditions.
Need less to say Simon had his work cut out and even had to take his shoes and socks off to add up at one point
But at 1500 he was done and 9 VERY HAPPY customers.... he set up bikes from an Africa twin through to a H2.
He was fed and watered as we wanted to make sure he didn't take his eye off the ball.
But folks..... Please please consider Simon for your Suspension work, it IS and WILL BE the cheapest modofication you can do toy your bike!! FACT !!!
Thanks again Si

I dunno... I have done some pretty "cheap" modifications to my bikes over the years so I'm not so sure this would be the "cheapest".

Trust me.... It's the best Mod you can do with out breaking the bank.

I reckon the cheapest mod I could do to improve my Triumph's handling and power-to-weight ratio is lose 3 stone

.
If I had to get mechanical about it I'd fit a gearbox sprocket with two less teeth @ approx £18.00 - best bang for your buck ever. Did it on my old Aprilia Futura and nobody ever accused
that of hanging around.

I think one of the first things you should do on any 'new to you' bike is to go through all the clickers and first record where they are currently set, then set them to the stock settings from the manual (or to the recommended settings for road use) if they aren't already.
Then if you're feeling confident measure and set the preload sag.

That only works if it's a new Bike with new oil and you know there is a full bladder of gas.
If you aren't confident that the Bike has those then you're just stabbing in the dark with a butter knife.

Cheers for the post Jay, always fun and top job satisfaction to see the happy yet confused faces return after a test run.
