So I found a dealer that had the bike I was looking for, and they were willing to take the old superduke off my hand at sensible money, seemed like a no brainer really. Had to drive to Barnet mind to do the exchange.
As of yesterday I'm now the owner of a naughty little ktm 690 smc R.
Not everybody's cup o tea but it should at least allow me to get back out on rideouts.

Very nice mate. Will you have enough tank range to get to Dawlish? And will your arse be hurting by then

As recommended to me on here prior to my Cadwell jaunt, I got an airhawk 2 pad (9" x 11"). Played with the amount of air in it for a week. Then Bristol to Cadwell on mine was better than any seat I've had on any bike ever (no exaggeration) it was even more comfy than the xs1100e I had. It takes seconds to put on/off and have not had to adjust air over the last 2 months. Definitely recommend.

Cheers, will look into one.
There's a pad already installed in the seat, it's gonna be a learning curve.
Tank range should get me to Exeter Ming, it'll make use of the downhill section.

A little late to the party but really glad that you managed to get the bike Simon think this should really help and hopefully will allow you to start enjoying riding again a little more pain free.
Looks a fantastic bike hope that it brings you many miles of fun.
