Speed Limit Changes

Just a heads up for people heading over the bridge into Cornwall, speed limits on the A38 through the villages of Tideford and Landrake are changing from 40 to 30 on August 20th ~x( Speed cameras through this stretch have also been changed, At present, there is also mixed signage, but one assumes this will be sorted by the 20th ...... x_x

This is on top of the average speed cameras already installed all the way through the Glynn valley between Dobwalls and Bodmin, There is also a temporary 30mph restriction between the Carkeel roundabout and the Saltash tunnel, which also appears to be monitored with speed cameras .....

It's not gonna be long before cycling is quicker than motorised transport in the south west x_x

Especially on the electric "mountain bikes" that are just unregistered, uninsured and unrestricted motorcycles with token pedals. Boils my piss that a regular motorcycle costs over £100 to tax and MOT, £100's to insure and you get fined if you speed, whereas peeps on ebikes are as quick A to B through town and are widely accepted as normal.
I could see this coming as soon as e-scooters became acceptable on the roads and pavements.

Ok so now I understand why "Rik" owns and e-bike shop... maybe it might be time to invest. If you see me turning up to a ride out with a derestricted ebike you might understand the reason why.
