The Grand Plan......

This year I am going to try something new.

As many of you know my wife has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and now has very limited mobility after loosing a lot of movement in her legs. I am her full time carer and she is a very nervous and anxious person and as such hates being by herself for fear of falling, hurting herself and death so always wants somebody around. Not happy with just MS she also has celiac disease and (undiagnosed) Chronic Fatigue... all this means that she normally will sleep until 12 / 1pm before trying to get out of bed on a daily basis. Considering i also have a 15 year old daughter this means she also will sleep until 12 / 1pm over the weekends.

Sooooooo

When it eventually stops raining :-l :-l :-l :-l

I am going to do a load of really early morning rides. The idea being to make the most of the riding time and be home for lunch. So if i do my own ride i will be starting the ride at sun up (so will be bloody early) and if i am joining somebodies else's ride then i will bugger off to get back home by 12 / 1pm.

The idea here is a lot more riding (weather permitting) and hopefully some nice clear roads, and not taking up the weekend to do it

But most importantly no grief from the wife as she will be asleep whilst I'm out having fun.

Hope to se a lot more of you guys in 2026 for my new riding schedule. B-)

What a great idea. It gives you some recovery time which helps when you're looking after people full.time. good thinking.

Going out for a ride is my main respite from being a full time carer too. That and being taken out for a walk by the dog.
Hope to see you soon Rob.....when the deluge stops.
