Well I'm glad they are still making the BT010, as I luv em on my 400...
I was recommended to use BT014's on my TL1000R, but I've put Diablo's on for now, and they are fantastic, bike is much more stable (was twitchy when I had Metz M3's on there)
From what I can tell, BT014's take longer to warm up, but offer a bit more grip over the BT010's which should to the average road user, ie you and me, be noticeable...
However takes longer to get them up to temp in winter compaired to other tyres, like BT010's and Diablos, hence when peeps have asked me before, my advice would be if you want to use BT014's, kep it to the summer months when getting tyre tempature up will be easyier.
On the offside though, more grip is roughly propitional to how long the tyre lasts, so I wouldn't expect a BT014 to last as long as a Diablo or BT010, that's just sods law!
BT010 on a GSXR1000, well depends on how hard to ride it really, unless your strangling the bleady thing all the time I'd expect BT010 would be the best tyres to use, but if you really want a good cain in the summer, either on the road or track, then maybe the BT014's are worth looking into...
Looking at that graph, I can vouch that the BT090's I had on my 400, were very "Race" based, but bugger me even in the summer took ages to get them warmed up so they would grip, but once warm that bike I could put it directly on it's side, mad as fook, however the tyres on the rear only lasted 1000 miles if I was lucky
Considering it's colder more than it is warmer, and alot of the time we do short trips on our bikes to whereever, is it really worth having a tyre on the bike thats prolly still cold by the time we get to where we are going??? like the BT014, prolly not, but well in the summer for the few mnths we do get sunshine, might be worth fitting them just for that extra bit of fun
