Second puncture in 350 miles on a brand new Diablo!!! This time it went down very fast just as I was going around a roundabout. So, another 100 quid for another new tyre. Im going out tonight sweeping up all the nails, screws and glass on my favourite roads

Sheeeesh.....you would think with all this new fangled technology they could find a way to make tyres punture-proof - sorry to hear ur misfortune   :( :(

I think my record was 1 day on a new back tyre.

I Used to have that problem regularly - so I decided to try & avoid the debris thrown up in the centre of the road near traffic lights, junctions etc.- places you normally use to filter to the front of the queue, but where all those nasty bits of metal seem to be pushed to one side by lorries, buses & other metal caged objects (I mean cars).

So far (touch wood) I haven't had one since adopting this strategy.

That sucks...having a new boot wasted like that is infuriating.

After my pompous lecture about avoiding punctures you can guess what has happened.

Half a drill bit through a brand new rear BT010.

Serves me right I suppose.

Normally go out & get a new one, but has anyone repaired their tyre before? Is it worth it?

Thats shit! I had mine repaired at 150 miles, the second time though the damage was too much. Sorry mate, I must have missed a bit whilst sweeping the county

I had mine repaired a few times, never any problems for the entire tyre life after that (About 4,000miles or so)

Make sure you get it done by someone that knows what they are doing though, Bike Worx in Exeter have done mine in the past.
