ouch, sounds expensive!!! a snapped chain makes hell of a mess!! smashed undertray and lock to bits on my 400 when it happened!!
hope you get it back on the road soon!!
no more big red tractor for a while!!! got a yellow one instead!!!

You must be gutted mate, I know I would be.
Cant you get a replacement crankcase ? If not then a 2nd hand motor ?
Take the monster motor and put it in the 996. You'll have the slowest 996 in the country
