Hey all

The prep is almost done on my tank and panels now.. have done it all by the book and have spent AGES! Brought a bodywork book and treated it like a bible! I now have all of the apparatus to spray paint too.. just need one vital ingredient.. paint..

I need:

Etch primer
Plastic primer
1 litre basecoat
Laquer

Does anyone know where I can get this for a good price? Online or local shop?

Many Thanks

Lee

Halfords :)

I painted the hugger on Kellys CBR over the last few days. It's come out VERY well considering I've never done it before and I didnt give a massive amount of prep work, mainly because you can see it so it doesnt have to be perfect. I'll take some pictures tomorrow before it gets fitted.

Its not first attempt at spray painting.. just first attempt at a whole load of bodywork, have spent hours and hours on prep, repairing a huge dent in my tank that happened during my accident where the tank was actually punctured by the mirror mount. Most people would have thrown the tank away, I had the hole leaded up and whacked tonnes of filler in, now spent hours reshaping, adding more filler, shaping, more filler, shaping, then stopper, sanding back!

Got your PM speedy, will speak to you on MSN..

autoquip factors were pretty cheap when i got mine, plus if they have a local depot that dont stock what you want they will get it in same day from stores in torquay. also they did useful trade size aerosols of high-build primers instead of the smaller ones some car places sell
