Help needed - suspension

When I rode my ZRX1100 the other day I noticed that if I come of the throttle an allow the bike to slow down through 40 - 35 mph, if I hold the bard very loose I get a real tank slapper. I haven't noticed it at any other speeds. The fork seals were replaced last year by a mate who said he had also set up- the suspension before he gave me the fork legs back. I haven't tweeked or done anything else to the bike, and the wheels and tyres are true.

Kev, you cant set up suspension if it is not fitted to a bike. You can set it to recommended settings but as the components are mass produced they are quite flawed compared to design spec. gimme a shout next time we are on a ride and I'll set it up for you.

Nah, just make sure you have a pen, bit of paper and a tape measure under the seat.

When I first had the Fazer young TomR6 had a quick look at my suspension.
It made a lot of difference to how the bike felt. I'm sure I've said it before, but thanks mate.

if toms gonna be doing the setup, it will help if you put a zip tie on one of the fork legs and leave it on there, that way he can see how theyre working, and he can adjust compression and preload accordingly. you need to see 10mm from he zip tie to the bottom of the fork stantion, or if theyre conventional forks 10mm from the yokes.
if anyone needs help on setting up their bike feel free to ask or gimme a call and perhaps bring your bike to me, that way i can setup static and rider sag.
