Complete numpty with no lights.

Post by Jase »

I find it incredibly annoying when a numpty on a bike overtakes and then pulls right in in front of me and slamming on the brakes.
However when they do it dressed in jeans and a jacket makes me think they are a bit short of brain cells.
When they do all of this at 6.50am in the dark with no lights on and then keep overtaking on the bends at the bottom of Forder Valley I assume that they are completely stupid for putting themselves at such risk.

If that was you on the 125 this morning you might want to put your lights on next time dumbass

The lights on my Gixxer have never in the 4 years of ownership, ever ever been turned off. Even when the bike is off the lights stay on so i never forget.

Lights on at all times - even in a car!

Thats my policy anyway and it seems to work.

i normally put my lights on if i'm filtering, overtaking or out in a lot of traffic, but personally think that having them on all the time in daylight hours is a bit ott - each to their own and all that though. my only "issue" (ifor want of a better word) with it is that if 90% of riders end up riding with lights on all the time and it becomes the "norm", in the event of an accident will it shift to become the other 10%'s fault automatically for not having their lights on if some myopic idiot in a car doesnt notice them?

what really gets my goat though is people who drive all the time with their fog lights on, irritates the hell out of me

Got to agree with Jase, ride like an idiot and not put lights on incase someone sees him total tw@t
As mine is an import from Canada lights on permanent no switch at all. Which I think all bikes should be if not the safety people will make us wear flouresent jackets etc.
I for one don't look good in yellow
Mind you A_T was modeling the latest waistcoat the other day  I wonder if it is a standard item for SWB rideouts

Yes lights on but not in good light in the car eh, if everybody drove around in cars tractors trucks milk floats with lights on during the day everybody is the same, the bikes having lights on during the day makes them stand out if everything has it,s lights on people get used to,it and there would be no adavantage, France tried this recently everything had to have it,s lights on all the time and it did not stay long, I know aas a memeber of MAG they will fight the law acoming here
