For my MSc i have to build an online questionairre and the subject I have chosen to do it on is attitudes to motorcyclists from motorcycle groups and non-motorcyclists. I was wondering if you guys could help me by writing down a few attitude sentences (e.g. Bikers ride within their own limits) that I meant use in this exercise. Please please please thankyou.

On the whole Motorcyclists ride within the law.

Bikers can intimidate other road users by overtaking.

Bikers think that many laws apply only to cars and not bikes (overtaking on the iinside etc)

Bike riders are more aware of their surroundings whilst on the road compared to car drivers.

Summit like that you mean?

motorcycle riders make far better car drivers due to better observation skills used more often.

they appreciate to needs of other road users more.

bikers can react to dangers, surface changes and weather conditions better due to being more at risk - thereby again making them better car drivers!

Bikers are seen as rebels

Bikers are seen as habitual breakers of highway law

Bikers are more likely to stop and help someone in distress

Bikes are noisy

Bikes are dangerous

Have found when I've been in an accident on my bike that it is assumed I must be to blame for it by the very fact I ride a bike - VERY annoying on TWO occasions when it was totally the car drivers fault

Ha ha it's all good, i think it would be nice to see how another groups views differ from ours. Do bikers play the victim too much? Or are we very egotistical?

A cruiser is not a proper motorcycle.

Blue & White bikes are faster.

Sorry mate, but that's the best I can do
