Brake pads worn out. A small stone jammed in caliper. Are a couple possibillitys. Mine makes a terrible noise in the rain. Stripped the lot and copper slipped back of pads and where pads sit on calliper and still does it.

For yours prob about £15/£20 for a pair. Depends what you want and where you go. I use CMS at pinhoe for my spares like pads and things as my relation works there so i do get a bit discount.

just check em as it could be just rubbish got in there or your discs just have a bit of rust on them.

Won't take long to strip them out and give it a clean if needs be, just make sure you put it all back together the right way. If in doubt get proffesional help. Don't want to be blamed if your brakes fail.

well...im pretty sure that the pads have gone now,

was one of the most sketchy ride to work EVA...not just because of the brakes but cause of all the water on the roads!

always look after your brakes !!
a quick half hour will cure most problems. drop the caliper off and get the pads out for a quick clean and a little copper slip on the rear.
nothing more scarey than pulling the leaver and not stopping... believe me ... i have experienced it.... adrenaline definately is brown

also when u got the caliper off brush off the hard dust with a metal brush but dont breathe in the dust i think its a carsonogen or something??
and when u putter the copper grease on the backs of the pads just make sure u dont get any on the abrasive side or you will have NO brakes

if you ever take your wheel off with disk make sure you slip somthing in between the pads other wise they can be a bitch to get open agian. learnt that the hard way
