Bike Info

Post by BlueNight »

OK...

Well the bike has around £4000 worth of damage. Alot of it is the body work, but we tryed to get a price of how much it would cost to get it back on the road fixing only what was neccessary to do so, that also came up to £1400 so I think the bike is going to be writen off.
Im covered fullycomp so the insurance will pay out. The retail price of the bike is £4000 so I will be getting myself another R6.

Thanks for all the concern, I didnt get hurt in the crash, but my little baby has died.

What Happened

Post by BlueNight »

Well I was on the way home, I was just outside Newton Abbott, I went around a long corner and hit some Oil from a car crash that had happed about an hour or so before I got there.
As you can imagine the bike slid right out from under me and I came flying off, the bike slid down the right hand side, went about 20 or 30 metres and then the pegs stuck into the floor flipping the bike.
It flipped right over the front, smashing and snapping all of the front fairing, the fairing bracket, both head lights, the handle bars are also bent.
It then landed on the Sump on the left side of the bike cracking it and spilling all the bikes oil.

The bike would have been ok had it not flipped over but hey, shit happens.

Glad to hear you are ok.

Didn't know you'd even had a crash after the karting

Hope you get the insurance sorted soon and back on 2 wheels.
