Taunton drivers...

Post by sonic »

went up to taunton and area today and was pleasantly surprised to find that drivers were very bike friendly...

99% of them moving over and pretty much all observant - made a nice change from the lane blocking plymuff lot...

or maybe they were just scared of the 'tard...

Not surprised really...

Seen some of the stuff the Taunton crew post on here...?

They've probably scared the crap out of all the car drivers in Somerset...

I like Taunton and wouldn't mind moving there permantly. Just we decided it wouldn't be fair on the kids, taking them from their friends and school.

Got to know the area very well i used to cover it many moons ago. They can be very considerate but there are plenty there who wouldn't think twice about cutting you up. Just depends what area your in.

There is a bloke called WEBBER who lives up there abit of a dork and if you go south to the next town there is another called AGE. So best staying away.

What are phychometrics? If you mean psychometrics you don't actually have to pass them, the answers depend on your opinions, experiences and personality..

I should be going to taunton soon as I have an invite to have a look around a unit up there.

Recruitment test what ever but to me its psychometrics. You do have to pass it though. there were 5 and 4 of us passed which is high I think. If your bored and want to know more about it I wrote a thread about it http://www.mfat.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13739
Most of it is at the bottom though.

Generally, drivers in Taunton are aware because they drive quite slowly. It's the young boy-racers you have to worry about.

It's best to pull up inbetween two of them at a double lane traffic light stop. Quick glance over the shoulder, increase revs and dump the clutch... Did anyone see that blurr of neon light?

Yeah! Saw an '06 R1 wheelie away from two souped up Corsa's covered in neon lights and vibrations. I tried to mimic as best I could (only without the wheelie).
