taunton bike night

Post by billinom8s »

was out for a trundle on tuesday evening with kim (went to minehead, awesome twisties) and on the way back stopped in taunton for a coffee in the layby next to the motorway, only to be greated by about 20 bikes.

turns out they started meeting there on a tuesday eve for the last 3 weeks. there is top food and drink there and no BS other than top speeds and overtaking stories etc.

we stayed for about an hr and were made to feel most welcome.

reckon could be worth a ride up there again, old a30 up and motorway back for ease.

anyone interested?

Yeah might be up for meeting there next week.

However, a proper Taunton bike meet is not far off for next year ;)

I was coming back from Minehead at about 7pm. Went over the hills passed Wheddon Cross and down to Porlock. Came back through Minehead and nice to see hardly any traffic on the roads!

I'd be up for meeting on a Tuesday at the truck stop if I'm not working late.

What are the timings for this meet... ?

Do you go for a ride around or just meet at truck stop... ?

Asking 'cause people will turn up at different times and miss out... :?

So...Anyone going up from Exeter area...? we could meet at services and go up old A30.

perhaps you mean the "old A38"

though, I once drove along a road from just the other side of Honiton up to Taunton (go's past the racecourse :? ) that looked like it might be interesting on a bike :?

Have to see what "she who must be obeyed" has planned for this evening before I can commit
