I Failed my car test on Thursday :?

"Lack of Observation"

I am trying to get a taxi licence you see, and part of it, is you have to resit the car test. I thought I my drive was good, but apparantly you have to look in your blind spot in a car now, just the same as on the bike.

I have spent the past 5 years not doing it on the bike as I would rather see where I am going, not where I have been.

I have since the test, been sat in my huge Jeep practicing and in my right blind spot can see a large door pillar, seat belt and rear door handle - In the left one, the rear passanger seat, passenger head rest, and cup holder.

In my 10 inch square mirrors which she commented on my good use off, I can see the damn road and surroundings

Oh well, better pay another £58.00.

What a load of nonsense... Most Taxi drivers don't even bother to look where they're going half the time, let alone check their blind spot.

Except Phil of course, the bestest Taxi driver in the world...

Driving all day as my job, i make it a habit of checking my blind spot before i pull away and turn right into roads.

You just never know when there could be a biker sat along side you.

I think riding a bike makes you a better driver for sure.

Ever since being a pillion, it's made me check my blind spots more often, for fear of knocking a biker down. I wouldn't want that on my conscience.

you would be the first to moan if a car nocked you off your bike cause they didnt check their blind spot!

Actually I wouldn't, as I beleive that if I have an accident on my bike it will always be partly my responsibility for not anticipating well enough what was about to happen...
