points on your license

how long do points stay on your license for?
minor endorsements such as sp30's etc

do they stay on for 4 years but are only valid for 3
or stay on for 5 years but are only valid for 4???

Pretty sure all points last for 5 years mate.

i was under the impression Penalty points last 3 years from the date of the offence but remain on the licence for 4 years (11 years for drinking or drug offences).

exerything except drink/drug driving related offences stays on your licence for 4 years - driving under influence etc stays on for 11 years

they stay on your licence for 4 yrs
and affect your insurance for 3 yrs :!:

Points are valid for three years, but stay on your licence for four years.

what happens if they catch you driving under the influence of drugs, can they even test it and are the penaltys the same as drink driving?

If they stated in the drink drive campains that the points will stay on your licence for 11 years it might help reduce the amount of drunk drivers (although you'd think that it could causie death would be enough). :evil:

Go to france and get nicked they take points off your licence there
basically you start with 12 points and they take em off, so my theory is if yuo get nicekd thee they could clean up your licence for you :D :D :D :D
