Hi can anyone advise me on somewhere i can get me bikes fairing welded up and resprayed please ??? tanks WiCkY

i have used exeter diesels, their bodyshop is awesome

If you've got a soldering iron, some spare time and some old bits of fairing lying around, have a go yourself!!!!

Its fookin easy! I have done an FT500 side panel, K75 BMW tail piece and my crowning glory, a 748 nose fairing!!!!

You need loads of old fairing bits, a large soldering iron, a wallpaper scraper and numerous grades of fine sandpaper. I got the Ducati nose fairing sprayed but did the other two myself. You'll have scars on the inside, but if they are not on view then you should be alright.
I thought it was difficult, but no!!!

if you want to have a go yourself try using plastic padding plastic bumper repair -its a 2 part epoxy but flexes so doesnt crack if the fairing flexes. also sticks like sh1t to a blanket and sands down to a really smooth finish

i use an epoxy, comes up a treat.

I just live with the cracks, as long as it still goes

But there is several places that do it no doubt, I know Jerrys in Plymouth is very good, and so is Art Attack.

i used some real good stuff called plastech.
if you have a crack you just v grove it out from the back just intil you see the undercoat then use the funny powder and solvent.
you put a drip in the powder dish and pick it up with a needle put it in the grove you have made and add a little more solvent.
sets in minutes and eches to the original plastic so it doesnt re brake at the same point.
and i had no need to spray the panal so saved me money.
the scrap i tryed it on broke a few cm from the orignal.
brillent stuff i use it to fix all sorts of hard plastics!

Jaysus i aint seen wan of them in years !!! i'm no boddered with doing it mesen as i want a good job done !! so oil try some of them contacts ye mention. tanks alot guys/gurls. WiCkY

Epoxy/Plastec (http://www.plastex-uk.com/) if your not fussed about crack lines... Just make sure you remove all paint around the inside and dremal little V grooves.

Soldering iron and alot of plastic smoke if you are prepared to melt, sand and respray. Again, make sure you remove all paint from both sides, use extra plastic (make sure it's the same kind) and fill it. works very well.
