hello boys and girls on friday i took ownership of a gs250 t its not in a great condtion as its been sat outside for two years. anyways the plan was to jsut get the bike up and rnning and use it on the fields (mates got a farm) but yesterday i started striping the bike dwon and started thinking of maybe building a fighter. i know the gs aint exactley a busa lol but hey its capable of being a bit of fun if not anything else, the plan is to strip the bike down and star canbalse it till it form,s into something of a fighter , the front end i was thingking of maybe a vj 22 (rgv) or maybe something a little more heaver im unsure at this point as im taking into consdertaion the weight of the engine as well as my lardey ass. all im asking is for maybe a bit of advice and help along the way. basicly could someone phtoshop me a gs250 with say a rgv front end and a rs250 rear end , as well as a rs 125 tail unit. only reason im asking all this is beacuse unlike other forums im on i know you guys will atleast post helpfull comments. look forward to what you vuys think of this and pics to follow

one thing i would suggest though is think carefully before pouring too much time or money into a gs250 though - even "quick/cheap" projects tend to end up a lot more expensive than initially anticipated, and usually take a lot longer than intended (for me they do anyway!!) - have you thought about getting the GS mot'd and moving it on, then chucking the money you get from that at something with a bit more poke, and that you will maybe want to hang on to for a bit longer?

New front ends, rear ends, bodywork etc., don't come cheap and when added to a bike worth only a couple of hundred to start with, will still only add up to a bike worth a couple of hundred and little appeal to most

I had a GSX250. It was the 'sportish' type not the custom one. Anyway I came off and bent the bars so I bought a set of almoust straight bars, had the bodywork sprayed and gave the rest of it some tlc. Looked trick for a GSX250 and didn't cost much. Would put some pics up but haven't got a scaner.

Anyway on something like that just do the obvious little things but before you start chucking £s at it make sure it's mechanicly sound like already mention and make the bike tidy (there's no point in putting trick bits on if the rest is all rusty).

yeah i agree really its a bit silly lol , but my mind is messed up at the mo been thinking of getting another tzr andd getting rid of the rs project as nothing seems to be going right on the rs !!! unsure

dont suppose you have the rgv front end just so happens i wouldnt mind one...
i have a rg 125 front end but inch too short...
the rgv ones are nice.

well a little update the rs project is being binned as ive decided the gs is the way forward i actually scared myslef last night in spar as i picked up fast bikes then put it back down to read streetfighters dont get me wrong i will always luv my gsxrs etc but im starting to turn to the darkside of bieks and im quite looking forward to doing this project as for ploughing the money into it , i have to say the bike was given to me for free. im off to cms later this morning (ANYONE ABOUT THAT COULD PILLION ME UP THERE WILL SORT OUT SOME PETTY FOR DOING IT_) then im going to start playing i will drag out later as the sun seems to be shine a little and get a few piccys it aint no special yet and one the chassis etc has been modifed and fabracted its gonna be a powedercoat job. as for the rgv front end x bandit i dont have one at the mo but im starting to thing that the rgv fornt will not be sprung hard enough for the weight of the lump so naybe look into some diffrent ones one thing im deffo playing with is radial calipers yes this gc will rock and i must say im already having fun lol
