FRIENDLY RIDE

ok, gonna give this a go.

i would like to organise a run that is gonna be accessable to all ages/abilities of riders.

i know we all like a good thrash on a sunday morning(insert joke here) but we all have to pay a price for this freedom, be it chores/shopping trip/mother in law etc so i figured why not do a run where pillions wont be hanging on for dear life and new riders or club members (no matter what bike size/style) can come along and not feel out of their depth.

unless its heavily objected to i am thinking it will be November 25th, weather permitting

I am looking at organising the friendly' ride to Westbay, i know its not the most original place on the planet. tho as a middle distance ride that we all know the route to and enjoy the food and drink it has on offer, its not a bad destination.

anyone interested please say, remember this wont be a fast run, it will be a GROUP run

you could always leave later so you arrive roughly the same time.

Good idea Si weather permitting i am up for it.

newbies to biking need rides like this where they can follow lines and watch others to be able to learn to ride our (dangerous) roads faster

Maybe we could set off at short intervals with a 'Buddy' system, where a more experienced rider partners a 'Newbie'...

I choose to lead 'Age'...

I say a big group ride so that there is a group learning process, not to dash your idea nick which is a good one, I'm just aware that some 'teachers' wouldn't be as good as others. Group riding with a few people on here, many posted on this link made me so much of a better rider.

Mark junctions then. I was having loads of fun over taking everyone to get to the front to amrk the next junction. 8)

Sounds good to me Si and I don't mind marking junctions if needed. I'll make sure everyone has gone passed this time, ay Nick and Bimbo

Great idea, 8) I think it could also provide an opportunity for people without bikes, who would like to be involved, to ride pillion on a swb ride out. I would be happy to help out but I only have a 600, so I would be limited to taking a fit, cbr rr is quite cramped  , slim, no prejudice here, just thinking of the power-weight ratio and aerodynamics  , attractive, to reflect the bikes poise  and as I don’t want a bloke sliding into me under braking  , the pillion would need to be female. :D :D

If the chosen girl is not local, I could provide accommodation

Please form an orderly queue
