After the mishap with my bike, I have been thinking of changing the colour to black with either a silver flake or red flake. Comments please.
And would changing the colour effect the resale price should i sell some time in the future?

If you change the colour you;d have to explain why. If the new colour is good it shouldn't affect the price.
Once you have matt black, you never go back.

id personally take pics of the damage on your bike now and take some photos while your bike is in the body shop being repaired/sprayed.
when you go to sell your bike you have the photos to prove the damage that was caused and you will be showing it is a totally honest bike and it wasnt sprayed due to being bent around a lampost etc.
with evidence like that it wouldnt put me off buying a bike which was a different colour.

i'd say it would lose resale value as a aftermarket colour/scheme isnt too everyones taste. if you do as watters said it would help to sell the bike in the future but it would put me off buying it as it hs been dropped at some time. stealth black is a good safe bet, a glittery flake wont appeal to everyone
