Newquay - Biker Friendly?

Can anyone suggest a good Biker friendly pub that serves good food at Newquay and able to cope with about 25 Rocket 111's [40/50ish bod's] begining of May...

There use to be an Irish pub by the Train/Police station in Newquay that served good food - noticed it changed last summer & now seems to have gone a bit up-market

Any help here would be much appreciated :D

Nothing much in the centre of town, But there is Mavericks on Henver road. There always seems to be a few bikes in the carpark.

Not sure about Newquay, but went down to Padstow about 8 yrs ago(not too far away so may be similarities in parking restrictions). Not much in the way of parking & the allocation for bikes was minimal (not enough for 25 Rocket 3's). We eventually parked in the car park next to the harbour in the area allocated for bikes. I seem to remember a notice saying that 'all' vehicles had to display a valid ticket. There just so happend to be a parking warden in the car park & so we asked if it included bikes, to which the sour faced old git said that it did. When it was pointed out to him that anyone could take the ticket off the bike when we weren't there instead of buying their own meaning we'd possibly get a parking ticket/fine his reply was basically tough.
For some reason I haven't been back to Padstow since

There's a similar miserable old goat that oversees the car park next to the harbour in Looe.....must be a Cornish thing

only other place I could suggest is the Red Lion at the bottom of tower road. There is parking outside but not vast amounts. If it's an organised rideout, prob worth contacting the owners first and organising to have parking sorted for you. Start of May is start of silly season in Newquay, so always worth booking for meals etc first.

Will give Padstow a BIG miss then - a shame but that's their loss :?

The Red Lion seems like a nice spot so I'll give them a call and see if they can cope with the extra trade, looks much better than the Train staition 8)

the griffin just opposite the weatherspoons is the only place in town with parking and has a beer garden so you cn keep a eye on the bikes. nowhere else in the town for that amount of bikes

Good call Deej. The length of time I lived in Newquay and always forget about the griffin being there.
