about 20 minutes 8)

thats not the answer you want is it?

I just take it easy for a while gradually increasing pressure but making sure I dont over heat them, normal riding really.

pfftt :!:

It's secret ploy orgainised by the goverment to try and make ME ride slower.

Can you believe they are also telling stupid lies like tyres are slippery when new. What bull[poo], my tyres are only slippery when they are covered in oil

The reason is if you've got grooves in the disc the new pads won't make contact with the whole surface of the disc. I normally say 100miles like with tyres but as long as you're aware and are sensible eg don't try doing stoppies straight away do like tafflade said. :D

After all if you go around a corner and theres a tractor there you're not gonna think ' oh I've got new barke so better not brake hard'

The quickest way to bed them in like we used to do to cars when fitting new pads is Ride or Drive with the brakes applied slightly whilst useing the throttle at the same time.

Like Mike said just to shape the new pad to an old disc.

Oh and remember to let them cool abit before giving them too much grief as you prob know you end up with brake fade :?
