Another newbie to the site saying hello

Hi all,

I'm another new member, been reading topics and posts on the forum for a while but haven't really joined in until now.

I'm 25, from Newton Abbot and have my test coming up in the next month. Some of you may already know me from mini moto racing at Raceworld and Cheddar or even from SWC. I hope to join you on several ride outs/meets when I get my first 'real' bike.

Also, I'm in the market for a shed/garage/storage option for the bike. What do you guys use? I haven't got enough room/cash for a real garage so was thinking about a small metal shed to put on the drive to store the bike. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions, tips on good companies, sheds?

Thanks, and hope to meet some of you soon.

Long time no see.

What bikes you looking at?

When I looked at metal sheds a while back I bookmarked these: http://www.metal-sheds-online.co.uk/ and http://www.trimetals.co.uk/motorcycle-s ... hp?m=3&g=8

Welcome to SWB :D

They sell metal sheds in Argos, worth checking them out.

Yeah it has been a while mate. As for bikes, looking at a variation of different things at the moment. Including:

Yamaha FZ6 Fazer
Suzuki Bandit GSF
Honda Hornet

So you can see the sort of style I'm leaning towards. Nothing bigger than 600cc though. I thought about the CBR 600 but I'm not sure it's sensible as a first bike. So probably going to stay away from the sports bikes until I've gained some experience.

Any other bike suggestions would be gratefully received.

Oh yeh, good luck with the test. What sort of budget have you got for a bike?

Hiya and welcome!

Any of those three as first bikes and you can't go wrong - Hornets are pretty bullet proof and good fun, course I'm gonna say that, I'm biased!
(rides '04 Hornet 6er!)

Good luck with your test too!

welcome to the site :D :D :D
the three bikes u mention are all good choices.
will probably boil down to what u can afford and which one u like the look of most.

i've just recently bought a bike shed from this mob.

Hi & welcome,

I've seen some pieces of kit that ressemble tents, with a ridged top made from aluminum poles & a tarp over the top, don't know if it was bought or custom built. :?

Thanks for the welcome all. My budget is around £3500 max. Could spend a bit more but I'm a bit cautious of spending too much more on a first bike. Would ideally like to bike up a 2002-2005 bike. 8)

Obviously I meant "pick up a bike" - "bike up a bike" doesn't make a great deal of sense.
