Not happy!

Post by Smiler »

Picked up a nail on the way to MOT this morning!

My rear tyre is now filled with Ultraseal (blue gloopy stuff) which is 'good for the life of the tyre' blah blah...

So my question is....

Any of you had any experience/opinion on this product? Can I trust it?

TIA

Its great for getting you back when you have a puncture, but still replace the tyre, or if it isn't a ZR rated tyre, and its a problem in the middle 3rd then get a proper repair on it.

Tis good stuff.

If you already had some in your tyre and then got the nail you may never have known and would have kept using it. I usualy put some in the rear but not the front cos causes balance problems at higher speeds.

Cheers Mike

I rode home, albeit a little more sedately, and I must say it felt no different to the 80 odd mile ride I did Sunday (similar conditions - cold, but dry roads)

Bloke at workshop said the same about front/rear btw, ie front gives balance issues

As a girlie, I often wonder if bike places give me the blah blah... but the fact that the MOT guy also seemed very confident in the product makes me think its ok

But...........I wanted to hear from people who'd actually used it/has enough knowledge of it as opposed to "what the bloke in the workshop said" :?

Thanks again, much appreciated!

Got to admit though that if I knew I had a puncher I'd repair it for peace of mind, but then it doesn't cost me anything eccept a lunch break 8)

Just out of interest which bike shop?
