B2B 2008

Post by TLS-Moose »

Got this through via e-mail today ....... make a date in your diaries folks :D

"You may recall that you took part in our b2b motorcycle event last year. It was a great success with over 340 bikes undertaking the journey from Atlantic Village to The Saracens Rugby Ground in Exeter.

This year's b2b is on 13th July and we hope that you will be able to come along and support the event again. An application/information form is attached.

As last year, we start from Atlantic Village but this year we finish at the Exeter Racecourse, Haldon Hill, near Exeter. This is a fantastic venue with lots of hard standing for bikes to park on.

If it were not for the support of people like you we would not be able to raise the £2.2 needed every year to keep two Air Ambulances flying.

In the autumn we will be taking delivery of a new EC135 helicopter. The charity has taken the decision to buy this aircraft, instead of leasing, as it has many cost saving advantages. Again this would not have been possible without the fantastic support of the people of Devon.

Please pass on the details of this event to all the bikers you know, and help us make this year's b2b the biggest and best yet!"

The first run went from their Base in exeter 2 their Base in north devon

hence the name, but as numbers exceeded their expectations, they moved the start/finish points, but kept the name for the runs identity :D

Yes had my invite as well,

What's the plan, meet up & blat up to north devon at "our" pace  then meet up with everyone else at the Atlantic village for a gentle ride back  ( or again blat back & meet up again at the race course)

Cost was £10 each last year.

I for one think they are worth every penny :D
