Went down to hein gericke and picked myself up a new lid today. I'm having a look at after market race visors,
http://www.racevisors.co.uk is probably what i'll use, was wondering if anyone recommends them. It's £35 for a black visor which i thought is pretty good as they give you a free case so i can carry my clear one with me to keep the plod happy.

If i get the 'dark tint' how dark exactly should i expect?
cheers

I bought one of those for my shoei, it was the dark tint but it wasn`t that dark so I ended up putting a tinted pinlock insert in as well

I ended up scratching mine so I bought the aftermarket one from the same people which was darker and it was cheaper

Just a note, I have a black tinted visor on my helmet, but I rarely wear it when I know I'm going to be out at night as it is affects visibility. I always end up having to lift the visor and of course I get hit by insects.

. Make sure you have your clear visor ready and fixed when you know you'll be out at night

yeah thats why i liked that site i looked at cos they throw in a few visor bag that straps round your waist under the jacket, so it'll be easy to carry them both.

I've bought my last 3 black visors from them, and recommend them all the time, never had anyone complain about them yet

oh quick questions whats the difference between the 'standard visor' option and the 'flat race - anti fog'. I mean apart from the obvious?

the visors have different names for different helmets, the flat race fits the new 2008 helmet

i've recently bought two from them, one being the black tint - in my opinion it is very black on the outside but a good enough visibility to still be able to see everything. deffinately recomend them
