Has anyone fitted one of these, I'm thinking of getting one for my R6 but £80 is a lot to part with if it's no good?

do you really need to know what gear you're in? as long as the revs are ok for the speed you're doing it doesn't really matter what gear you're in

just fitted one to the r1.
bit of a pain taking the nosecone off and some of the fairing to route the wiring but works fine.

i take it for £80 it's the plug and play version with the wiring loom??

Well, when you flick it up in first or third either way is not fun!

Worth it imo. Its one of those things you dont think you'll need until you have one then you use it a fair bit. I have gone into 7th gear since I fitted mine :)

If you are handy with a soldering iron, then save a few quid and buy the DIY kit. It isnt that hard.

I bought the Datatool one, I always told people that I never really used it.

However I never actually realised how much I did use it until I rode a bike without one.

Bloody brilliant item.

If you go the Acumen one, stay away from from the DGV as it doesn't work.

Yeah fairly easy, you need a paddock stand then just follow the instructions. I set mine up about 2 years ago when I got it and its never faltered.
