Swingarm Removal

Taking my swingarm off on the R6, I have taken out the back wheel, undone the linkages on the bottom of the suspension, but left the top connected.
Taken the spindle out, but it won't drop out, according to the divvy manual there is a bushing (cant find the r6 one) inside but I have no idea how to get it out.
Any ideas please.

find the r6 ne, am sure funky gave it to u, but u will need it for the torque figures when being rebuilt.

other than that u may find it tough to take out cos i think there is a bolt that goes thru the engine block

Yea he gave it to me, but were having a new kitchen put in, and everything is everywhere and have no idea where it is :|
I've taken the castle nut off and the spindle out. You can see all the way through the shaft and as the swingarm pivots up and down, the shaft doesnt move with it.
I'm completly lost, thought that once the spindle was out, the swingarm would just drop out.

its got 10 years of road dirt and shite tucked in there probs have to 'persuade' it to come off with a levering tool

Crikey, deffo look for the manual mate. I think you're right with the spindle. I don't think the swingarm is held in place with the same engine mount as i believe it is on the R1, i'm pretty sure it's on it own pivot. Defoo keep with the torque settings though when putting it back on.

Try slackening off the rear engine mounting bolts, quite often these are done up after the swingarm is fitted, and will pull the sides of the frame very slightly, which is enough to hold the pivot point of the arm in place.
I'm not familiar with the swingarm on this one, but check that there isn't a sleeve threaded into the frame at the pivot point like on some of the Hondas that the pivot bolt passes through, if there is then you will need to undo it to allow the arm to drop free. sometimes you need a special tool to undo the sleeve which can usually be made from adapting an old socket with a grinder to fit the collar.

i didn't know funky gave you his entire tool collection as well as his bike, don't forget, the woodscrews are ONLY for the fairings
