*PICS+* LIFTING THE LID - Motorcycle Photo-documentary

Who wants to be famous

well... In a book at least.
I'm working on a College photography project looking at motorcycling, mostly at riders as individuals and what their outlooks/associations to motorcycling are.
It's a Portrait / Documentary series with an editorial twist

, basically portraits with a little extra flash
It's been a bit of a slow starter, I've tried asking people individually as I meet them around Bristol but no one can spare me any time. Which is fair enough but it's not helping my grade any.
So in the name of community spirit and all that who's going to be the first volunteer

Speedy
Really if anyone would be gracious enough to spare me 30min of their time you'd be doing me a massive favour.
Photography and motorcycling are two major factors in my life, and I'd love to combine the two in the long term. If I can make this a success not only will it aid my degree but hopefully my career too.

If anyone is interested it's just a case of meeting up somewhere and posing astride your bike with your helmet off.
Then I'll ask you an open-ended question
(which haven't decided on yet
) which will be printed on the adjacent page.
I was hope'ing to have each portrait set with a backdrop that was representative of the rider in-shot, like a road or location they often travel or rest at.
(This would obviously be a little easer for local people than if anyone would travel in, so it may end up being any random, slightly picturesque place) Location wise is still up in the air, obviously I'm asking for people help me so I don't really want to put anyone out too much.
logistically it could work better if enough people are interested to meet at a place of general interest as a group, the first place that sprung to mind for me was Cheddar Gorge.
P.S. Cheers Mervin, I'll send him a PM and direct him this way.

LOL that was the plan, you said it sounded dodgy meeting up taking pics when I mentioned it before. Must have been the famous remark that swayed you aye
Thanks to everyone so far for your interest, it's gratefully appreciated
Nearly got the meet sorted which should be great,
I'm hope’ing to get a few shots from the meet, and possibly a few social shots as a bit of a prologue
It looks as it's starting to come together,

but please keep'em coming.

Well I'm back in devon from the 24th, riding down the 303 on that day which is a road I seem to go down alot so thats always a possibility. If not I'm sure there will be a ride out over the christmas period.
A great place would be the SWB christmas meal.
I'm guessing you don't want us to send photos in! that would be cheating.

It would be unfortunately, it's a swift idea if I thought I could get away with it LOL
Blade wrote:dont work for the bbc do you mate ?

Nah my friend, would be nice if I did though. You never know, if all goes well they might fund me a round the world trip on a bike of my choice to explore my concept world-wide... Back to reality aye
What made you ask that though Blade?
Again
many many thanks to everyone who’s offered me a helping hand, It's really appreciated

. I've a few PM's to send, I'm still really un-organised
