i think you touch little boys. It says the initial 10 so that means the first 10 people who got the site up and running. By your way of thinking jewel also gets free membership, like thats ever gonna happen.

don't think it matters now, it was a special offer when the site started and they got their 'gift'. promotional offer ended when number 10 person registered, just a good job it wasnt a spammer

It doesnt really matter what you think or want, it hapened nearly 5 years ago.

You werent even a Registered User when Dave gave those 1st ten their Gift of Life Membership.

but those first 10 people are pretty much just going to be mates of dave's, nearly all of whom dont post. by having it as active members it will be a reward to people who have stuck around and keep contributing to the site.

Why even mention it in the things to come thread if its been that way since day one? It does not effect anyone, no-one at all. Those lucky six buggered off years ago so its completely pointless even bringing it up.

Guess I will always remain a non-member then, I certain aint paying more money to the site.

As member nuber 3 of this site i do'not post up many things just sit back and watch most of the time.
As with any group of people you will get disagreements but we all still share a passion for biking.

CARAMBA how much is membership of the site now £5,£10 just the price of a couple or so drinks
How come you all want free membership you can soon save a tenner with discounts etc .
If you do not have a tenner to spare for membership borrow a musical instrument sit on a street cornewr with a hat and you soon will, you may even get enough to afford a meal
so stop bloody carping about who is entitled too free membership, do away with free membership end of argument
i am a mod and long standing member of the aircooled RD club and quite happily pay to be a member £15 a year
its worth it just for the craic, oh and it is well worth £10 for the abuse you get from speedy on tis forum

As said in previous post.

The free membership was those people that signed up first when the site was launched in 2004.

Nuff said.

P.s. They can't all be my friends as I don't have that many
