I'm thinking of getting my fuel tank and rear plastics stripped and resprayed by a pro (as if i do i'm bound to cock it up), anyone do this or had this done by someone good/reasonably priced?

just a spray job, pretty sure i want white, just gotta decide between matte or gloss, if i go matte i think gloss white stickers (standard yamaha ones) will look pretty cool, oh yeah, front mud guard too, so 4 bits in total

I would have a go yourself first mate.
I sprayed the tank and side panels on my 50 first time I had ever sprayed anything and it came out pretty well, until I spilt petrol on it from not laquering it.
I also have just sprayed a spare set of panels for my R6 in gloss black to use while I get used to it at first.
If you do mess it up you have lost 20-30 quid and some time, but get it right and you save yourself a couple of hundred.

Applying decals is the hard bit.

Masking tape and a ruler are your friends.

I have allways been a bit wary of getting things stripped ever since i took my old GS1000 tank into a local shot blasters to get it stripped and when he rang to say it was ready i went down and spotted a really beat up dented tank on the way into his office and had a giggle to myself at some poor bugger having a tank like that only to be told it was mine, yup it had been full of filler we worked it out i had lost 25% of the capacity due to the dents took me ages getting the worst out then filling it all again, lost all my fingerprints with all the wet and drying......... :) :)
