Become an 'advanced' rider for FREE!! -- NOW TAKEN

Post by AndyW »

CVAM (Cheddar Valley Advanced Motorcyclists) - 'Chairman's Young Rider Sponsorship'

The IAM "Skills for Life" package currently costs £109 (increasing to £139 wef 01May2009;-)

Are you under the age of 25 and would like to 'advance' your riding skills? If so here's a fantastic opportunity for you!

The Chairman of CVAM will personally pay for the Skills For Life package and the first full years annual membership for one lucky individual. (The successful candidate will still be required to donate £10 per ride to his or her Observer to cover their fuel/running costs - on average 6 rides or so).
You will need to be committed to improving your riding skills, clearly our Chairman doesn't want to waste his money on someone who'll not see the 'training' through not to mention waste a great opprtunity that could have been afforded to someone else.

To apply PM me with brief reasons why you should be considered for the sponsorship together with the following details:
Your full name
Age
Riding experience
Current bike
Phone number

Good luck! :D

You're the second Cornish rider to show interest :D

But.........the offer is a 'personal' one by Phil our Group Chairman rather than an official IAM offer and so unfortunately no way it can be transferred to another IAM motorcycle group. Maybe get in touch with someone down your way and have a chat:
http://www.cornwalladvanced.co.uk/index.html

BikeSafe is also worth having a look at:
http://www.devon-cornwall.police.uk/v3/ ... /index.htm

We have friends that live in St Just that we visit regularly so maybe I'll see you around some time.......

Cheers............ride safe!

EVERYONE

Just to be clear:
Under 25's currently get a discount on the Skills For Life package so it would cost you £89 not £109 as I say above but Phil is also covering one 1 year membership of CVAM which is £15 so you save £104 :D
