Spent most of the day up there with a few mates, saw your cb there, looked a bit dirty at the front

Like the new screen on it.
Thought it was ok, last year was better though, wanted to buy some new leathers but was hardly any stalls.
Also saw si kims freeze and dotty's bikes.

I'm not surprised that there are very few trade stalls there this year, Bmad are charging a lot of money for trade pitches down there, that's the main reason why I'm not there with the dyno truck this year, it is just too expensive for me to attend the event.

I spent most of the day down there yesturday and thought it was fairly good, especially considering you didnt have to pay to see everything, unlike West Point. I felt that it was better than West Point as well.
Have some good pic and will post up laterz.
PS: Was good to meet up with Baskie again, been a long time cobber.
PPS: May have also hopefully picked up 2 more sponsors for the site but details to follow.

Thought it was quite good too yesterday, good atmosphere, a lot of varying bikes to a geez at as well, especially a cool sport 1000 s ducati, and a haggered old triumph bob chop! wasn't too interested in anything the vendors had going anyway, probably go down again today after 1pm.

Four of us went down this morning for an hour, it was ok. Pretty sure I saw Tom1528 as we were on the way out while waiting for the level crossing barriers.
Afterwards we went over Malbourgh/Salcombe way for the Bolbury Classic......basically Bolbury Down was an old WWII airfield & they had a 'fly in' this weekend with Spitfire, Hurricane, Tiger Moth & various other planes, also there were vintage bikes, cars, military vehicles & the old radar station was opened up for tours.
For a short time you could have a walk around the Spitfire & Hurricane, & I mean really up close, no barriers

& then they both did a aerial display
Had a great, if not different afternoon, didn't cost anything to get in or to park the bike & didn't have to queue to get out

Bugger wish i had known that, it would have been interesting. Went up the bike festival this afternoon and it was packed with bikes parked everywhere, all the main local dealers there with the new R1's, GSXR etc but the best was the prices for the food, it was normal prices like you pay when the festival isnt there unlike Westpoint where you pay nearly a fiver for a burger, don't think i will be bothering with westpoint this year it has been disappointing the last couple of years and cost me nearly £40 for four of us last year......

It was mentioned in our local paper....Dartmouth Chronicle....there was only a small amount of info, but what caught my eye was that the Spitfire & Hurricane were going to be present. Didn't realise there was going to be a small air display until we got there & as always with such planes it didn't disapoint.......& it was free
Apparently it's been going for a couple of years now. Will definitly be going again next year.

Stopped going to that a few years ago as it was quite expensive for what appeared to be the same ittinery every year....stunts, russell swift, blah, blah & not a great deal in the way of trade stands.

I went up this morning for a couple of hours. Thought is was OK but the D&C police stand with their police publicity stunt Harley accomponied by the most self obsessed pold I have ever met stood beside it. This guy had no people skills at all and was purly there to say " look at me i'm a knob"

The toilets had more charisma than him
Also how was it free? they charged me £4 to park there.

but yes at least the food is a hell of a lot cheaper than westpoint,
The only other gripe I have with paignton is that 15 feet after you pay a marshall shouts at everyone to slow down, which is far enough but I hadn't moved off yet

and the first thing you see is the other marshalls racing aroung on quads

Not setting a good example for the public and they do the same on bike nights as well.

Never saw any of that m8, a nice lady took my cash and i just rode off up the line and found a spot to park and the only marshalls i saw were going no faster than the bikes, i thought it was well organised as usual and a relatively cheap way to spend an afternoon just looking at bikes and just chilling

I got down about 10.30 and the guy was stood just past the pay point. I did kinda chuckle when he shouted slow down at the Harleys

I always enjoy Paignton it just seemed wrong to shout slow down when you weren't even moving and when at least on marshal on a quad is riding too fast for the amount of people there.
