Where's the plate from?

Got talking to a guy on a B-King and another on a TL1000R in Exeter today. The were from England.. well sounded like it. They had Tiny black number plates with silver text and one just had four numbers on it..

Where were they from?

but looking at some of their town & road names you'd wonder.
They'll be from Guernsey (Jersey have a J at the start of their plates).
