ALOT of retards on ebay mate, be careful. Eg regarding some brake calipers-
Dear bandit-racing,
Hi mate, whats the condition of the seals and pistons? I dont want to buy another set and have to rebuild them in 2 months.
Dear xblacksunshinex,
Hi all calipers have come from well serviced bikes & work well so no problems. pads new -old- or slightly worn are included free. hope this helps thanks bandit racing
Dear bandit-racing,
Thanks for the reply. In my experience caliper overhauls arent generally included in bike servicing. So could you answer my questions? How much pad life, condition of seals, pistons free etc. Otherwise I'll leave them, had one too many second hand seized calipers now.
Thanks
Ben
Dear xblacksunshinex,
O.K these are used parts if your are unsure then please dont buy thanks bandit racing
Dear bandit-racing,
That is honestly hilarious how you cant answer very simple questions about the conditions of the parts you are selling. Consider me a lost customer, now and in future!
Dear xblacksunshinex,
Hi ok buddy no problem we will place you on all of our web sites banned list until you cool down is that as funny, thanks Bandit Racing
Dear bandit-racing
Thats even funnier that you feel the need to do that. Oh well, done me a favour I guess, at least theres no chance I wont accidentally buy anything from you morons.

Doesn't surprise me in the least about Bandit racing, I've heard lots of less than complimenary things about them charging top dollar for stuff that is not as good as you'd expect it to be for the price. There's a lot of garden shed breakers on ebay who know sod all about the bikes they break.

I have been hunting down stuff on e-bay for my GPZ and the prices are unreal for some of the stuff, i picked up a complete tail section with grabrails in just about perfect nick for £30 but they are advertised for £80 plus, the same with sidepanels, i paid a tenner some want £30 plus a tenner for postage but the silly stuff seems to stay there for ages unless someone is really desperate. There are some bargains though, there is a brand new GPZ750 cylinder head on there at the moment for £299, new price IF you can get one is nearly £1500, you just have to be a bit lucky and go through the feedback before dealing............

Got to agree with jam on the garden shed breakers who know fook all, worryingly some supposedly bike shops/business are the same
I always ask a question before replying,if I don't get a reply within 24hrs I probably won't buy off them, unless their answer is spot on and wjat I'm looking for
Atleast they've sent out a replacement and now I'm guessing a 2nd one. Guess they won't have amy profit off your sale after 2 carriage charges. What are they doing about your carriage costs

at the end of the day they are selling secondhand parts, if they were advertised a reconditioned then you can expect them to be in good order , most breakers are only interested in getting bits off the bike and selling em with a cursory inspection, if they turn around and tell ya they are perfect and they are not you will be even more pissed off, I only buy stuff of breakers if the part on my bike bike is beyond repair and expect it too need some attention if only a quick clean up, if i buy calipers then i almost expect to have to strip em and rebuild , so i reckon if you are not happy with the sellers answer stay away, or if local go look for yourself before buying , cos their idea of good condition will always be different to yours, oh i do know of someone who reconditions calipers as well, as for the swingarm that has to be down to the guy at the other end having f all idea what the part is, I dont suppose the breakers employ mechanics with experience to strip bikes the old adage you pay peanuts you get monkeys, very likley a kid or pole/afghan illegal immigrant stripping and packing the bits

I missed out on some bargain GPZ brake calipers, they were £50 each and brand new pattern calipers but a caliper repair kit was only £12 so i got one of those instead, then found the pistons were beyond repair so got new ones of those as well at £20 so it cost me £32 but then i had to strip, degrease and then paint then reassemble the calipers so £50 was a good price, especially as new ones are £150 plus and refurbs are £120. We live and learn

Hey,
A couple of weeks ago I got on Ebay and ordered a mirror for my VFR -it wasn't a genuine Honda part, but I did think it would at least fit on the bike. As it turns out the bracket that attaches to the bike was an inch too long (so the screw holes weren't aligned). Absolutely stupid! I took the mirror stem off the bracket and fixed it to the old bracket that was already on the bike....but still!
I hate buying on the internet...these people can con you and then disappear. There's something to be said about being able to storm into a physical building, look the manager right in the eye and demand your money back. The internet alternative? Send another email....yeah right!
Think I'll try a bike breakers in the south west, next time.

I too have had pretty poor dealings with Bandit Racing..
I called them up and they were so useless.. all I wanted was the repair piece for the downpipes.. but no.. they cant send me one.. but want to charge £90+p&p to send mine away so they can weld a piece on..
I can get it welded.. all I wanted was the piece of pipe.. but they blantely refused to sell it to me!
IDIOTS.. and there used parts are well expensive!
