2nd Hand Arai - what's it worth?

At the risk of starting a debate on the virues of 2nd hand lids, I'm looking to sell mine to replace it with another Arai as there's a new colour scheme I like.

Mine's an Arai Astro R in Van den Bosch colours. Bought 4 years ago, always kept indoors in it's bag (rather than in a cold garage). Never used when unshaven, dirty hair or even dirty hands when working on the bike - I've kept my old lid for that; sounds anal but shows how I look after my stuff. Removable lining cleaned as required. All vents intact & click open & shut as they should - flies cleaned out of vents with cotton bud, side pods replaced last year with the correct colour ones as 1 of the clips broke. Needless to say never dropped or crashed in. Size M, 7-7.5, 57-58.

Same paint scheme as this, but the one on the picture is the lower spec Condor lid.



I wouldn't buy or sell a lid on ebay. As we are in a smallish area I'd rather sell on here, anyone is welcome to try before they buy, plus I'm on this forum.

So, what's it worth??

I'll take it off your hands for free.. save you throwing it away.. I currently have a silver Arai Condor.. with clear visor.. would be cool to have another with a darker visor..

I had a second hand 5 year old Arai Corsair and it saved my life! I dont have any problems with second hand helmet providing its completely undamaged.

I've used ebay to sell old helmets,wouldn't ever buy a 2nd hand one myself but each to their own

In previous years I got 250quid for a kagayama rep that was 2months old, got 75quid for a kbc that was a few months old and my old arai quantum f crafar rep I got 60quid for but it was 3 years old

I'd try ebay as it opens you upto a much wider market place than just swb and the other local forums/papers
