Goto http://maps.google.co.uk/maps zoom into where you wanna look and drag the little orange man on the far left onto the road you want to see. If it goes blue its got street maps.

You can soon. It is called the google nexus one. They are not taking lovely pictures of everybodys' road for no reason. They are going to make a lot of money from the sat navs with the google maps app.

You can do it on any Android phone, well at the moment its only officially in the US, but you can get hacked versions which work world wide.

My Blackberry has google maps - I thought pretty much any internet phone could access Google Maps, the only difference with the Blackberry is it has GPS positioning built in to it too :?

Quite interesting using it in an area with no phone signal - you get a little blue dot to show where you are in a sea of white screen  the GPS positions it still, but it requires the phone signal to be able to download the map information

I use tom tom on my phone, googles maps is good for marking out where you have been or if you are going off on an adventure your loved ones can use the location finder.

Google Maps on other mobile devices is basic like Google Maps in your web browser. On Android phones it has Google Navigation like TomTom etc, although its a little restrictive as it streams the data, so pretty useless out in the sticks with no 3g access, it is completely free tho.
