So after being stick in a meeting for three hours, I come out and look at my blackberry (we have a phones off/silent policy in meetings) and see a text from my wife. It starts "The first thing is, Jamie is fine"

followed by "He came off his moped going to the shops at lunch-time .... "
Well, the main thing is he's fine - not a scratch, just a little shaken by the experience

He was turning into the road by Somerfields in Broadclyst Station when the front just slid out from under him - it was cold with a layer of damp salt on the road, and the turning leads to the TNT depot so plenty of diesel and sh*t on the road too
The bike wasn't quite so lucky, but not too bad either - a new handlebar, some new handguards, straighten the (bent) gear lever, put the chain back on (it had come off somehow

). Fortunately CMS is open 'til 8.00 Monday - Thursday now, so £50 and 2hrs later all working and rideable again
