As per the title im doing a bit of research for my business and trying to work out which is the best bike for training on whilst still being affordable so what did you guys n girls learn to ride on and pass your DAS course.

Suzuki gs500 [Censored] horrible even my instructor said so but they are cheap to repair lol

Simon passed him test on a horse and cart, but I doubt you'll be able to take the test on something of that vintage these days. I heard that everything was black and white back then too.

Umm one of these, i recommend them served me well



Actually it was one of Alexs GS500.s , good bike for what it was made for , cheap to run, repair , and easy to ride

Didn't have DAS when I did mine, used my dt 125 to pass my test.

I did mine on a CG125 which for me was good

i should have taken mine on my RD250 back in 1976 then it was ride around in a circle stop when i step out in front of you , what colour is that road sign , you have passed,

Don't forget deej, when I did my test you didn't have to do your test on anything bigger.

I did my test on a GP100 then after passing my test got a GS 1000, so whats this about balls and proper bikes to pass their test on lol

i know what 125s to get, looking for serious answers for those that have passed recently and had to take the new tests

sorry deej another round the block twice nearly ran the poor bloke down when he jump out infront of me silly , did my test on a honda xl 250s, started of with a honda 250 super dream, got it from crofts in winner st. hadnt got a clue where anything was or how to ride the bloody thing, i dont think i would pass if i had to do it all again now haha

When kim did her training and test she was on an ER-5
