Yesterday we had the third episode of The Bike Experience. Paul and Chris were the two riders, both of whom were paralysed 17 years ago. Paul was there for Level 1 and Chris for Level 2. The rain came down in buckets during the morning 'paddock' session where the riders learned to work with their Launch Crew to launch/catch and ride at slow speed. The wet weather caused me to make a decision to put on full wets. The Launch Crew went into overdrive to get four bikes swapped over in just 45minutes, with just the one front paddock stand and four very un-compromising bikes. We had a great lunch time session on track, with both riders quickly getting up to speed and showing no ill affects from their 17 year absence from the bikes. As it was the sun came out and we had a dry track from the end of the second 3-lap session. Very proud of their achievements, Paul has already booked in for Level 2 and Chris is wanting more. Huge thanks to all the Launch Crew for their support and hard work, the day would not happen without them. The next TBE is 22nd June, we need six Launch Crew members....PM me if you're interested.

Good to see Chris Dabbs back on 2 wheels, same style as before.

Remember Chris writing for issues of What (or Which) Bike aback in the '80s nd a particular shot of him on a RD500, head down & knee out.

Good luck with the scheme.
